As a Bible (also book of books), Judaism and Christianity each refer to their own collections of writings that are documents of their faith as holy writings. These are two compilations of "books" (Greek: Biblia) from the cultural area of the Levante and the Middle East, which were created over the course of around 1200 years and were first canonized by Jews, then also by Christians.
